Not all of us are morning people, right? I mean, I know that I’m not, for sure! And I cannot, for the love of God, ever understand how some people can be so bright and chirpy right from the moment they open their eyes. I mean, are they made of a different mold? Is their DNA altered? Are they even human?

But whether we like it or not, we all have to wake up on time every day, day after day, if we don’t want our lives to end up in chaos! So, what do sleepy-heads like us do? Is there a magical land where we can all migrate to that doesn’t need us to wake up at unearthly hours? We all know the answer to that question, don’t we? There isn’t. And no matter what we do, we have to ultimately make peace with the fact that waking up in the morning is not a choice – it is a compulsion. And we will have to do it, no matter what.

But does that mean that we are cursed to a lifetime of drowsiness and sleepy yawns? Well, definitely not! Which is why we are writing this article for you. There are actually ways of forcing your body to get up and be fresh. Yes, it does sound like a punishment, but it isn’t actually. And once you start doing these things on a regular basis, you’ll probably even enjoy waking up in the mornings! (I know you don’t believe that!)

We mean put-in-some-effort stretches, which will wake your body up, like yoga stretches. In fact, if you do a google search, a bunch of yoga poses that you can do on the bed will pop up. This will not only wake you up, but it’ll also encourage you to continue doing this on the mat once you are out of bed!

This is a no-brainer, really. The best way to ensure that you are wide awake on a sleepy morning is by splashing water on your face. Nice, cold, fresh water. Now, isn’t this incentive enough to just go cray, cray with that water splashing already?
