Tonsil Abscess Incision & Drainage

Incision and drainage of right tonsil abscess is shown. The patient presented with right sided throat pain with dysphagia. Initial oral antibiotic therapy has failed and he became febrile and unwell. Incision and drainage with biopsy of the protruding right tonsil was performed. Intravenouis antibiotic was commenced together and pain relief medications were given. The lesion removered fully after 1 week.
